Ironman Cozumel 2025 Photos from our trip for the final leg, the Race. With the best support crew; Victoria, Larissa & Ryan. A full Ironman has been on my list for a long while, but at the start of 2025 I made the official call and registered. For many things in life they say it takes a village and my road to Ironman was very much the same. Support from my most dear loved ones, fond memories of lost loved ones (especially my mom) family, friends. Time spent away training, missed events/dinners, meal prep, race nutrition prep and shopping, coaching w Nick, Tammy, Bart, Jack, physical setbacks, physio, laundry, group training sessions at the 3433 Tri club, advice and work outs with training friends, accountability from friends, Strava props.. I’m sure I’ve forgotten to mention some, if I did you know who you are. In this process I learned a lot about myself, about what’s important in life, goal setting, things I can apply to many aspects of life. Progressively working towards goals, hours: in the pool, lake, treadmill, pathways, on the stationary bike or on the road. Operating on limited sleep and in sub-optimal conditions, getting things done without excuses, listening to my body, knowing when to rest and when to push. Looking at the elite athletes, it’s unreal to see the times they post. My goal was completion. It's been a humbling journey and with a couple close calls at the end, I’m glad everything worked out as planned. With another goal accomplished, I savour the experience as I get back to the gym and consider what’s next. What’s something you’ve always wanted to do? What’s your plan?
